On a last second phone call, we were able to get hooked up with Colton.  Fishing in the area had been very slow due to a front that moved in and high winds.  Our expectations were very low but still had high hopes.  Let me tell you something, Colton put us on em!  I have been on dozens of guided fishing trips and this one ranked near the top.  Sheepshead, Specs, Red Drum, Trigger fish, and even Pompano were landed!  It was awesome.  It exceeded our hopes but ten fold.  On top of that, Colton was one amazing guy.  He was so helpful, respectful, and fun to be with.  His passion was very apparent as he got as excited as we did when we hooked up!  We will definitely be back and, if you’re fortunate enough to score a trip with Colton, you won’t be let down!  Tight lines folks!

I have been on quite a few guided trips over the years and while we didn’t catch the most fish of any trip I have been on but it was definitely the most enjoyable.  Being we were on a short family trip my buddy and I didn’t have a lot of time to fish and Captain Colton from start to finish was an absolute blast to fish with and kept us on fish from start to finish.  He was super flexible, easy going and accommodating from leaving earlier to beat the heat to trying out some techniques in order to give us the best experience.  We caught speckled trout on top water and then had an absolute blast catching mangrove snapper when the top water bite shut off.  I don’t have enough great things to say as everything from boat to gear to tackle to laughs were top notch.  We will be booking with Liquid Force and Captain Colton every time we go to Orange Beach.  You should too and you will not be disappointed.

Weather dictated our trip (too windy to go near/off shore) so Colton took us back bay. Our trip was for two purposes: fun and function: we intended to fry what we caught for a family dinner. Colton put us on white trout at the start of the trip and we caught dinner. Plenty to feed us. After that, we started migrating for bigger fish. Started catching mangrove snapper, but every fish we caught was just a hair short.

Towards the end of the trip, it was trophy time. Colton put us in the right place and I caught my first bull Red! Everywhere Colton took us, we caught fish. The conditions were against us, but it was a fun day! His equipment was in great shape, his boat was perfect for our group of 6.  If we go back to Gulf Shores we will definitely go back with Liquid Force!!

Really fun trip hunting the bay in the dark with Captain Colton. Caught a Bull red a few minutes from the launch and then everyone caught some smaller fish. Great trip (and break from hot daytime baseball) for our group, ages 11, 2 older teenagers and one old man.  Fish mostly weren’t biting but it didn’t really matter- the Captain was a pleasure to fish with and the hunt in the dark was a thrill.
