410 lbs Blue Marlin

Dec 8, 2025 Le Morne

After catching an average sized marlin the previous day our lucky customer got serious with this bigger fish.We trolled the deep waters during the trip without success and caught this nice sized blue on the way back. The fish gave a very good fight and was hauled onboard after an hour fight.

After losing a big marlin a couple of days earlier our returning guest got the smiles back after a nice trip.We came back with 2 skipjacks, 1 barracuda and a blue marlin that we caught on the way back.

Two billfishes on Billfish

On this second trip for our returning customer we went out with a bumpy sea and were lucky enough to catch a spearfish. Later on we caught a barracuda and had a black marlin that hit the lures a few times without getting a solid hookup.We continued working the area and were rewarded with a blue marlin.

Blue marlin day

On this rare calm day we were out with he lures splashing very well behind the boat.We were lucky to have a marlin early during the trip and in the early afternoon we had a strike from a very aggressive fish but the hook came out. Not long after we got another strike and our angler Mr Alexander had a nice fight with an estimated 400 lbs blue. After the leader was in had he fish started to do a lot of head shakes and got freed.Great day overall we can say!

Fishes are moving in

Out for a 6 hrs trip after a few days of northerly choppy seas and the fishes were here.Caught a wahoo early on the dropoff then moved to the deeper waters but there was not much happening. So, we moved back to the dropoff and were lucky to catch a blue marlin and a skipjack tuna.

For this afternoon trip the sea conditions were very good but in the first two hours of the trip there were some birds around and some skipjacks jumping but nothing was biting. Not having much time left we kept searching along the dropoff and luckily things changed and we ended the trip with 4 bonitos and 5 wahoos.

Cpt. Billy has a good knowledge and experience of fishing! Sea was rough and very difficult condition but Mr.Billy tried to find fishes. Then we caught dorado and skipjack tuna! We enjoyed beeing with Mr.Billy and his crew. Thank you very much!

Great 2 days caught some small tuna and a wahoo but crew worked hard to try for a hook up. Only rose 1 marlin but no hook ups. Fish caught on other boats up to 1100 lbs. Great skipper very Knowledgeable .

This was my first experience at deep sea fishing and was really disappointed. The boat was great however early on we suffered sea sickness. Half way through we did see 2 whales howecer that was it. This was a present from my wife for my 30th but didnt even get a bite. On the whole i eas just so gutted and felt like it was a waste of time. Billy is a great bloke and did try to find the fish. We must of been judt unlucky but it is a lot of money to pay out for the experience we had.

Hello Mr James, Sorry we could not get a fish on the line for you and your wife.It’s true that sometimes deep sea fishing can be disappointing but I’m sure that when you will have a nice fish at the other end of the line you will forget all the disappointment.I understand that getting seasick and not get a single bite is very frustrating.I wish you better luck next time. March being just outside the peak marlin season,it was worth a try.Unfortunately with bad weather early March the fishes have moved on.You maybe luckier another time Mr Stuart, it’s hard being a marlin fisherman when the targeted fishes do not want to show up.Luckily we did not get back bare handed thanks to the 3 big skipjack tunas .....
