Amazing two half days on Feb 22nd. Caught and released 8 rooster fish plus 6 jacks. Inshore fishing is on fire.

1 for 5 on sailfish offshore yesterday. We saw plenty of life—fish free-jumping everywhere and lots of activity—but most of the sailfish were just checking out the dead ballyhoo and not fully committing. They’d come in, tap or swipe at the bait, then fade off. Late in the day, one finally crushed the ballyhoo and stayed tight. Beautiful sailfish, solid fight, and a clean release to wrap up the day.

Day one was a half-day inshore targeting roosterfish, and it did not disappoint. With tons of bait around, we loaded up and headed north of Quepos. As Jeff was simply letting his line out to set the bait, he got his first bite. Within the first hour we landed 6 out of 10 bites. We later worked the rocks looking for a bigger rooster, but the Spanish mackerel were everywhere and kept cutting our lines. Day two we switched it up and headed offshore for mahi mahi. Just 9 miles out of Quepos we found a strong current with a clean trash line, and once again it was nonstop action. We had triple hookups, double mahi on the line, and although we couldn’t land them all, it was an incredible scene and an unforgettable couple of days on the water.

Adam and his group joined us on 2 Full Day Inshore Fishing. This was a group o hunters from the USA, a total o 8 anglers split in three pangas. What a great time we had, from roosters to Jacks, a beautiful snook and a the almighty Cubera.
