Booked a whole day fishing trip. From the start of when I booked it communication with Captain Avi was brilliant. On the day Avi and Rocky where super friendly and wanted to get to know you and bout you. We managed to catch two Mahi Mahi within the first 2 hours of the trip which was one of the fish we really wanted to catch. Unfortunately we didn’t have much luck after that but that’s just how fishing goes so didn’t catch the Marlin we was after. Overall I had a great day talking to Avi and Rocky and hearing all about big game fishing and all the stories they have. 100% would recommend to anyone!

What can I say?  Was a lovely trip from start to finish.  Captain Avi and Rocky were fantastic hosts.  Both working in tandem to find and catch fish, constantly looking for birds and changing lures and direction based on bird movement.  They took their time explaining the science and logic of their fishing techniques which worked splendidly on the day.  They were very accommodating, passionate and friendly with no shortage of conversation and banter over a few beers while waiting for the fish.  We ended up bringing in a large dorado with 2 medium sized ones.  We ended up bringing in a decent sized GT while driving back into port which was they cherry on top (my arms are still sore!).  Highly recommend this trip as a priority for any angler visiting and will 100% be coming back.  Merci beaucoup mon fréro 🙏🏻.  Next time we get that marlin 😉

Well what can I say, Avi and Rocky were amazing from start to finish.
Their knowledge is awesome and they explained everything that was happening and why.  It all starts with spotting the birds!!! But take a trip with these guys and they will tell you why……
I had faith in him and Rocky to deliver, oh and did they deliver! We hooked a Marlin at 5pm and at 8pm we finally pulled a Black Marlin onboard the boat-just! The three of us together couldn’t lift it and so managed to get half of it on….Later that evening it was weighed in at 1067lbs!! **A Grander**
We got back to the beach and there was Champagne, wine, beers and everyone had come to see the catch…
Not just a catch for me; it’s a catch of a lifetime and a memory I certainly will never forget and i’m sure Avi and Rocky won’t either. Two great guys, that over those 3 hours of fighting to get that beast of a Black Marlin on board, became my buddies. I will never forget them for making such an amazing experience!

Nous avons passé une après-midi extraordinaire avec Avi! Nous avons eu une bonne introduction à la pêche au gros, Avi était très didactique et a tout bien expliqué, comment pêcher, types de poissons, les apats comment bien se servir du matériel, etc. Service très personnalisé, au petit soins! Avi est venu nous chercher à l’hôtel, le bateau est très bien équipé. Avi est passionné et a bien su transmettre sa passion. On a pêché 11 bonites!!! Notre fille de 16 ans a pris le plus de poissons. Le capitaine Rocky est extraorinaire, il sait trouver le poisson. Nous avons passé un moment magique en famille et on a hâte de revenir pêcher avec Avi. Si vous êtes en vacances à Maurice, ne ratez pas l’occasion d’aller pêcher avec Avi!!!

I recently went out with Avi and his crew Rocky and Thissy and had a really enjoyable day.  Avi decided to take his boat over to the East where few boats go due to prevailing windy conditions and that paid off as we had (my favourite) Mahi Mahi, yellowfin and skipjack.  Fishing dropped off after lunch and though we towed 7 (yes, seven..!) marlin lures, we didn’t get a strike.  What impressed me most was how Avi was constantly on his binoculars, looking for the telltale flocks of birds that shadow the Mahi Mahi and putting us onto the fish. There was a really friendly and relaxed interaction between myself and the crew.  These are indigenous islanders (Avi is a third generation fisherman), and their quick smiles and humour made the day really enjoyable.  Because we had a flurry of fish at one spot, Thissy landed a yellowfin as I was already engaged with a fish.  Once things quieted down, I mischieviously suggested that Thissy had ‘stolen’ my fish, which Rocky and Avi agreed with.  We concluded that we really ought to throw him overboard, but apparently, he can’t swim so after discussions, Avi FIRED him…. However, I had my suspicions as Thissy is Avi’s cousin and he didn’t appear fazed as I think he gets fired regularly….!  A terrific group of guys and a captain, crew and boat I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.
