Our captain, Ty, did a great job finding fish for us even though the weather wasn’t great. Overall a great experience and would recommend Barra or Blue.

My wife and I had a full day bluewater fishing with Tom. Conditions were exellent, with no wind and no chop, and stepping on to a really well-presented boat with good electronics and good gear was a really positive sign that we were in for a great day. We started out throwing metal slices to pelagics boiling up on the surface, before Tom took us to various spots for reef fishing. Between six of us we probably pulled in a total of 60 fish, had a fabulous day, and got back to Darwin well... Meer

Great day all round. Started slow with the out going tide but we soon moved a few times and found the pot of Barra gold. After 2 or 3 hours of non stop action flicking soft plastics, we moved to hard body trawling and once the tide changed the action was back on. Our guide was excellent and very patient teaching tricks & tequiniques to my wife and I. Overall it was a long day but action packed and very well worth it.

We had a very successful day’s fishing with Barra or Blue on 13 June 2024.  All people on the charter caught plenty of fish and we came home with an esky full of preferred species that our captain Kurt filleted on our return and made them available to us. I would not hesitate to book another blue water charter with Barra or Blue in the future..
