- Shallow water jigging and light tackle casting with heavy bass gear are two of my favorite ways to fish rockfish, lingcod, and California Halibut. They are incredibly productive and by far the most fun way of fishing out of Morro Bay! I'll happily get bit on the troll as well if that's what it takes.
