Captain Steven is a very personable, interesting gentleman. He concerns himself with the enjoyment his clients have and is eager to give tips and insight for those interested in surf fishing. Conversation was very pleasant from beginning to end and he is super helpful to anyone in the fishing vicinity.  My wife and I had a very good time and experience with Captain Steven and would recommend him to anyone interested in fishing from the beach.

I had a great time with Captain Steve. He and I spoke the day before. Then we met in the morning. He took me through the process of assessing the beach conditions. He spotted some red tide and knew exactly the next best place to go to avoid it. We spent hours fishing and Captain Steve was able do a lot of coaching to enhance my technique. There was a lot of rain during my trip. Captain Steve offered me the opportunity to come back later a different time or to continue. I fished in the rain and Captain Steve continued to work with me the whole time. I caught a big Snook and then released it. I would definitely return and work with him again. Thanks Captain Steve!

Wow!!!  Had not planned on fishing while my wife and I visited Longboat Key and the Sarasota FL area two weeks ago as she does not fish. While walking the beach, we noticed a small group of people catching a lot of fish. I mentioned to her I would love to try shore fishing sometime and doing, that while pointing at the group (catching fish). So I walked up to ask how they were doing and met Steven Herich who was guiding the group. After a very quick visit, he handed me a business card and I left so his group could keep catching fish.

Later that day, my wife told me you should see if he can fit you in during the next few days. Fortunately for us, Steve was gracious enough to meet me for a few hours on his only scheduled day off and I had an amazing time with him and caught a lot of fish. He was gracious with his time, explained exactly what I needed to do to catch the fish and coached me when a bigger fish was on the line.

You don’t need to be an experienced ocean shore fishing person to try this and catch fish. Coach Steve makes it fun for you and your entire family and provides everything you need for a great time.  He even talked my wife into joining me for a picture with one of my fish caught that day. Framing that one guys!

Captain Steve came highly recommended from Don, the owner of All About Fishing in Sarasota. I called Steve and could sense his excitement and enthusiasm for fishing just by the tone of his voice. The three hours we spent together the afternoon of June 9 was full of action right from the beaches of longboat key. Steven was waiting at the prearranged spot on time & ready. He brought everything we needed for the trip.
Once on the beach we proceeded to catch our bait fish & then the real fun started. The Snook were on the beach this morning & easy to spot. I had never fished for them this way & Steven was very patient and helpful showing me the correct way to present the bait. We hooked up on several nice snook today. This trip was about fun & learning some new techniques.
