The sun is setting on ice fishing season

An absolutely fantastic year on the ice is coming to a close. The best ice fishing in years took place on Saginaw bay this year. With great anticipation we are looking forward no next year. Now is the time to book for next years best ice fishing dates. PERCH! Soon the waters will be free of ice. Early spring can be the best time of year to take advantage of some of the best jumbo perch fishing in the great lakes region. WALLEYE! The walleye will be headed to the rivers ans reefs to spawn. At this time we pause to give these fish time to do thier thing in peace. Right after the spawn we will be right back after them. The spring bite is fantastic on Saginaw bay. Best months for solid walleye action is from May through mid July. With an 8 fish limit there is no better place to fill the freezer with some of the best tasting fish that swims. What a great day this was! He took the time to explain what he was doing and why to the two young men I had with me. He even tried to make sure their catches were “equal” with the number they caught, and moved us around until we found some that were biting. It was a slow day in bay, but he made it happen. Highly recommend Captain Andrew!!

Listen ….Andrew was amazing….he took us out and taught us amazing fishing in the Saginaw Bay …..we exceded our limit of Walleye and had to throw some back. We endured a pounding rain storm…..it was so worth it….Andrew cleaned and filleted our loot….no extra charge! We will be coming back.
