We went on a 1/2 day fishing with Tito and Jerry.  It was a beautiful day, calm seas.  Although this is not the best season for fishing, we had several hits and managed to land a nice large barracuda.  Afterwards Charley took us to his restaurant and we had a fantastic meal, featuring barracuda ceviche and grilled barracuda. Thanks to everyone at Jazmin for providing the opportunity to fish in Tulum.

We had an amazing day with captain Carlos and his deck mate. We caught 5 barracuda and 1 Spanish Mackerel, the guides said the fishing was slower than normal but we were just happy to be out there! Because the fishing was slow they brought us to an area where we snorkelled with sea turtles and stingrays which was nothing short of amazing.
After landing on shore we headed to El Capitan Restaurant where we were met with a warm welcome and served the fish we just caught, fresh Barracuda Ceviche & Mackerel fillets prepared 4 different ways. Was a phenomenal experience and would absolutely recommend!

Our 4-hour fishing trip was a memorable experience. We were fortunate enough to land a huge King Mackerel as well as a Barracuda. The snorkeling spot was a lot of fun as well. Best of all, they took our catch to the restaurant (El Captain) and cooked it 4 ways. This was delicious and included in the price!

Things that could’ve gone better:
* we were told to come to an area that ended up having no car access. Maybe this was a temporary blockade, but needed to circle around and walk >20 minutes each way.
* the $ / MXN exchange rate that the guide quoted was very different than the website. In dollars, we had to pay a ~15% markup. So we had to exchange MXN elsewhere.
* The captain you get is out of your control. Our guides were both nice and did their job well, but barely spoke English and didn’t talk to us much.

My family of four (2 teens 19 and 17 yo) did the 4 hour fishing trip in the AM. Easy booking online and communication via WhatsApp. We didn’t come during the best time of year and had a ton of seaweed on the shore. But they did their best to clear a way to the boat for us. It was a bit windy the day we went too, so waves were pretty big! They did an amazing job navigating the waters. Seeing them put on our bait was quite the process, interesting for sure. We all caught fish! Baracudas and Mahi Mahi! They cleaned the Mahi Mahi for us and we ate it that evening! So fresh and yum! AND we got to see some sea turtles too! Great trip and we would definitely book with Jazmin Fishing Charters again!

My family had a great experience with Tito and crew. They were very accommodating and professional. The fish we caught were prepared for dinner at El Capitan, which is a close drive from the beach. This was some of the best ceviche I’ve ever eaten. Overall, great experience, I highly recommend.
