Charly and his crew took care of me.  Caught 3 nice barracudas.  Never caught this species before so that’s a first.  Afterwards we went to Charly’s restaurant to cook them up.  Very good eating fish.  Highly recommended

Instructions a d communication before the trip were very clear. The conditions were very windy and it was not ideal for fishing. The water was choppy before crossing the reef and very rough on the other side. We fished for about an hour and a half (three rods out trolling deadbaits with lures) and had two takes (which came off). Then the engine started to have problems - which the captain managed to fix pretty quickly but it was clear we needed to go in (we were asked and said we wanted to).
Charly had to return to the beach from Tulum and traffic to the beach is pretty much always awful so we had a wait at the beach but Charly was great in terms of refunding all out cash and asking us if we wanted to give anything for the crew (which we did).
There was nothing that was the operators fault and we were happy they did what they could considering the conditions. Shame about the lack of fish but we had a laugh about getting splashed by the waves for an hour!

Great communication from Charly ahead of time with helpful instructions to locate the meeting point. The staff was friendly. The boat was simple, no frills, but all we needed for 4 hours on the sea. Trolling with 5 lines, we ended up catching 5 barracuda and lost a yellowtail. It was also great to see the Tulum ruins from the sea and on our way back we spent 20 minutes or so snorkeling where all the snorkeling tours gather to see the reef (underwhelming), stingrays (plenty!), and turtles (we saw one as we were leaving). Enjoying a lunch made from the fish we caught (ceviche, tacos, quesadillas, grilled… everyone in our family got what they wanted!) at El Capitan restaurant was the cherry on the cake and made the whole trip a great value for what we paid. I would definitely recommend this company, especially if you’re on a tight budget! The weather was not the best (windy and a bit chilly), but we made great memories nonetheless (best activity of our trip per our 13 year old, and we did many!).

Caught a huge Lunar Snapper. It was a great father son moment. Took great pictures of the pyramid. At the end we fed turtles with leftover bait and fish entrails.
