Fishing Adventure in Cebaco Island – A Week to Remember!! We had the pleasure of welcoming our friend Marco from Germany along with his two best buddies. This trip was months in the making, and it included a full week at our Fishing Lodge on Cebaco Island . Their goal was clear: enjoy the ultimate fishing adventure—and we’re happy to say they achieved it! The week was packed with unforgettable experiences. From casting right off the island’s beautiful coastline, they landed Red Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, and even a Roosterfish from shore—an exciting first for some of them. But the highlight of the trip came during the boat excursions. Fishing exclusively with poppers and casting techniques, the action was nonstop. The group reeled in massive Cubera Snappers, along with medium-sized ones, Blue Jacks Crevalle , Crevalle Jacks, and more. Watching Marco and his friends celebrate each catch was the best reward of all. It was a week full of laughter, great fishing, and memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to welcome more anglers to Isla Cebaco for their own adventure—whether it’s your first time fishing from shore or chasing trophy fish offshore, our lodge and tours are ready to make it unforgettable!

Mahi Mahi Time

This day was really full of adventures... We had the full day with the lines in the water all time, captain and mate doing everything possible to have something at the end of the rods ... Until the Mahi Mahi finally appeared ... We almost lost one when mate couldn't hook at the first glance, but at the second cast he did not longer fail. At one point at the day we encountered a group of dolphins and suddenly a sailfish jumping in front of us. We tried looking for him, but he didn't want to play with us at this time. At the end, a day full of experiences and leaving good friends for future adventures.

This day could not finish better... Despite all government regulations against the COVID-19, we managed to get ready and obtain permission and go out with few people in the boat maintaining social distancing. Our friend Peter from Canada's plan was to take his teenage son Dallas and have his great first deep sea fishing experience in the are of Las Perlas - Panama. We went out at 6:30 am, necessary schedule to be able to navigate quickly without so much wind and reach the fishing points to start the action. We tried trolling for a few minutes, then we changed to Jigging and captured some fish (snapper, Spanish Mackerel ...). We decided to change again to trolling to find some Mahi-Mahi, however at this time of year the water temperature is already beginning to be cold and this species changes its position... To clear the mind, we stopped at Bartolome Island to enjoy the beautiful waters and virgin beaches of this archipelago, all this to return soon to action and decide to search again a low depth to do Jigging and this time to make a Homerun with several biting until a great Amberjack came up on our boat. Not without first testing the nerves of our friend Dallas, who was consecrated with Rookie of the Year after this experience.

Great day at Taboga. Fishing&Snorkeling

This day the fun exceeded expectations. Our friends from Italy enjoyed seeing dolphins, turtles and whales (they caught us off guard and did not appear in the photos) however it was an experience never to be forgotten. The day was excellent for fishing, multiple hits and several Mackerel. In the end we went to Isla Taboga and relaxed a bit before heading back to the coast.

We booked the full day Tobago trip. Capt Melvin and mate were terrific with both their fishing skills and expertise putting us on the action (mahi, mackerel, jacks) and working well with our 2 boys (ages 11 and 9). They were patient with our boys many questions for their first ocean trolling fishing trip. Judging by their excitement I’d say it was a huge success and would definitely recommend this outfit for any of your charter needs. Communication was excellent before the trip too.

Spent a full day with Melvyn and Manuel, captain and assistant respectfully, fishing the water near and around Otogue. Both are very knowledgeable and took the time to teach me about currents, temperatures, and many other factors to target certain species of fish. We landed an incredible Sea Bass which made my trip on its own. With the knowledge gained, I will definitely come back but during a different month to target certain fish that I am after. I highly recommend this team.

We booked an 8-hr. Fishing trip to the Pearl Islands in late December and our Captain and deckhand did everything they could to make sure we caught fish. They were so nice and helpful. We had a really good time. I’m not a fisherman and I still enjoy the trip. The ride back to Panama City was a bit rough due to weather conditions. Probably not recommended for someone with back problems. Otherwise a 10/10.

I always wanted to take my buddy Cris on a Panama fishing tour in the Pacific Ocean and Sunrise Charters made my dream come true. Captain Manuel and mate Lazaro were amazing. They really love fishing and are really good at it. Although the weather was a bit rainy we were able to catch some sierra mackerel, grouper and bonito. We trawled the lines next to some beautiful volcanic islands covered with lush jungle, looking like a scene from Jurassic Park. Later we anchored off the beach in Taboga... Meer

This trip was the highlight of a bachelor party trip. There was a total of 6 of us (not including the captain and the mate) and there was ample space for us, the equipment, the food we brought, and the food they provided. None of us had much fishing experience (none deep sea fishing), but with the crew’s help, we all were able to catch a fish (averaging about 10-15lbs each). The crew was not only helpful, but also good company. There were speakers that we were able to connect to, which was great... Meer
