Very good crew and the boat was well laid out, well maintained and very clean. They are an experienced crew. Water was bad right after a week of torrential rain, otherwise it would have been 5 stars all the way! Luis and his guys worked hard for us to have a good experience and we did despite few fish.

My wife and I recently embarked on an eagerly anticipated fishing trip on our honeymoon with El Gato III hoping to create cherished memories and catch some fish. Unfortunately, our experience with the fishing guide fell far short of our expectations.

From the outset there were clear signs of unpreparedness and disorganization. It’s understandable the language barrier can create some challenges, but the guide seemed disinterested in getting to know us or our fishing preferences. This which left us feeling disconnected and ignored throughout the trip. As enthusiastic anglers we had hoped for personalized guidance and expert tips to enhance our fishing skills, but instead, we were met with vague instructions and a lack of genuine engagement. Moreover, he only attempted to provide three pieces of bait which didn’t seem adequate for the half-day trip.

In sum, our fishing experience in Costa Rica fell short of what we had hoped for. The lack of preparation and poor communication from the fishing guide left us feeling disappointed and dissatisfied with the trip. We sincerely hope that others looking to fish in Costa Rica will find a more professional and accommodating guide to make the most of their fishing adventures in this beautiful country.

One of the best fishing charters I have booked. Crew was awesome, very friendly and hardworking. The fishing was excellent the customer service superb. Boat rides in the water well. Boat was clean crew profesional. Definitely going out with Don Gato Again.
