I had the absolute best time with Captain Tim! He’s very knowledgeable about the area and we hammered the fish! It was only me and my wife Susan On the trip. she’s not the fishing type but Captain Tim was incredibly patient with her and a very good teacher. With a little beginners luck she ended up catching her first ever fish which happened to be the biggest fish of the day! Thank you so much Captain Tim with Get lost charters for making it a very memorable day for us on the water. We will see you years to come!

Capt Tim was awesome. Very knowledgeable of the fishing grounds and flexed to ensure we were on the fish! We had our teenage kids with us and Capt Tim was great showing them techniques and helped them land some great fish. Will definitely be making this an annual outing during our vacation! What a great day on the water with captain Tim Wake. Started out our day early at the dock went and put some work in to grab some fresh bait for bottom fishing. Captain Tim really knows his stuff put us on the fish early and we were able to send the flatline out that yielded a very nice king fish as well as about a 20 pound mahi.  Something that sets captain Tim wake apart from the rest of the field is he really cares about his environment on our way in we were able to rescue at least one turtle from eating a cellophane balloon released. Being a native of the Florida Keys it’s extremely important to take care of our oceans and wildlife. Captain Tim thank you so much for the great day all of the good eats and the mixed bag of fish that we were able to cook up into fish tacos last night I am still full.  Looking forward to your king fish SMACK.  What a great day it was looking forward to our next trip with Captain Tim Wake

A Fishing tale by Paige.
7:00am and we’re on our way to some of the best fishing spots on the river. On the way, we all got better acquainted and within minutes, we all knew we scored with this charter. We are from CT and our experience of fishing is completely different than what you do in the river. We learned that very quickly. Old habits are very hard to break. Tim started us out with practice time. He positioned the boat at an angle on the channel to help us get comfortable with the process- great planning on his part. We all needed to get the feel of fishing and “bumps” and what not to do when we are in the prime position to catch the big ones. I am a beginner. My idea of fishing is to feel a nibble and YANK to implant the hook in the fish. Nope… Cpt Tim has patience of a saint. He encouraged and guided me to where the best places were and how to reel and actually get the fish to the boat. My husband and son were fishing on the other side of the boat. EJ caught a puffer fish and it was such a great photo opp. Cpt Tim found a perfect spot to where the wind was blocked by an island and we went to town. The time was flying by and “technically” our charter should have wrapped up. I would like to apologize to Tim’s wife because he continued with us a lot longer than 1/2 day. Cpt Tim was having a great time and my family was enjoying themselves. It was an exciting way to spend a day and I can’t say enough about this charter. We are definitely coming back because I really want to go out in the ocean with him and experience the beauty of the Atlantic. Tim is knowledgable and has probably spent more time in the water than on the land. He knows the hot spots and all the tricks of the trade. He is informative and teaches - he does it in such an easy way that encourages and motivates you to keep trying for the Big One.
Bonus: having the fish cleaned and bagged/iced for the ride home when finished.
We couldn’t have had a better day. I can’t say enough about this charter. Just know- this man has a passion for fishing; but more importantly, enjoys sharing his stories with all levels of fishermen and going that extra mile. And his boat has all the bells and whistles. Rounding out the day we all jammed to some great music on the way back to the dock. You’ll be seeing us again. Since leaving the dock, we’ve already recommended your charter to our friends.

Oh… I forgot to mention… I won😉! I got the biggest; Peter was all about the cats and a prisoner;  and EJ ‘puffed’ up his chest 😎

In terms of catching fish, unfortunately today just wasn’t the day.  In terms of having a great time, VERY MUCH SUCCESSFUL!!!!!  Tom and Jeff were awesome hosts.  Played some great music, had some great conversation, and my 2 boys were given every chance possible to catch some fish.  We will definitely be back the next time we come to Vero.
