Man we a boat load .... busy day on the water .

Usually in dealing with customers that aren’t happy I typically try to take the high road..but in this case I have to make a comment..  the client was displeased that we didn’t catch fish that she could keep… first off this was never intended to be just a ‘fishing trip’ they could have booked that trip and paid 200 more but they were trying to cut corners and load the boat with people and still want to do a full day fishing trip and I tried my best to accommodate them… when in actuality no other Captain would be able to have taken that many people on his boat,..  because of the red tide a couple years ago we’ve not been able to keep red fish snook or sea trout

We actually caught a number of very nice sized fish…  when Im fishing an area that contains Spanish mackerel blue fish seatrout and other species I can’t help which fish are actually biting and which ones we catch,  this trip was booked to be a ‘Specialty Cruise’ which is a little fishing some sightseeing.. dolphin tour and then going to the a small island..she also made the comment, which I thought was very out of line about the island that we went to.. she also lied about the fact that we had children aboard .. the trip was booked for 7 adults no one on the boat was a child….. I take people ( families with children )  there all the time….  everyone that I’ve ever taken has thoroughly enjoyed it… in fact if you read through the reviews,  most people love that part of the trip more than anything…. it’s also very hard to fish appropriately on any boat,  when you have 7 people and 4 of those seven people are quite overweight which makes it difficult for them to actually stand up on the boat in any form to fish… as I had stated the original booking was for a 4-Hour specialty Cruise not a half-day fishing trip which would have cost them $200 more… I can’t please customers that are trying to cut corners and try to manipulate the system .....

I work very hard to help fulfill my obligations to catch fish and have a great day on the water if you read all of my reviews you’ll find that the only 2 negative reviews that I’ve ever had is people like these trying to manipulate the trip to load up the boat to save themselves money instead of paying the right price to get what they’re looking for… and also in regards to her comment of seven of them to fish and only four people could fish….  if you read the overview on the first page about the boat… the size of the boat and capacity it will state right up front that you can fish four people at a time it’s very obvious and very clear in the original description again it’s not my fault if she can’t properly read or didn’t take the time to read🚣♂️🎣🦈

I’m not sure why the customer’s ranking was as low as it is…. We caught a number of fish just nothing huge I’ll admit fishing was slow as it was for all captains that morning ..  but I can’t always control that.. We caught a couple of bonnethead sharks several sea bass a few mangrove snapper.  Went through several dozen baits .... wasn’t the greatest day due to wind conditions .... we covered approximately 30 miles looking for fish… I can only do what I can do…  I can’t make the fish bite… I try my best to make every customer happy and catch fish some days are tougher than others… it is called FISHING… the review for my afternoon trip the same day was a. 5 STAR RANKING as I said I do the very best I can..

Im sorry that the client was disappointed .. i can’t make people catch fish. We had plenty of opportunities and bites . The fact is there were 6 people on the boat and only one seemed to have any experience at all another fact is the person who made this comment never even fished .. i spent my time baiting hooks and casting lines.trying help the situation .
We went through 5 dozen shrimp ( 60 ) and a number of greenbacks that means there was a total of
close to 80 opportunities to catch fish .. its was even a discussion in jest .. among the party.. about all the ones that got away .. the youngest of the group caught the biggest fish .i was helping him ... as i said i try my best to always please customers and usually stay out beyond the time booked our 4 hour trip was actually a bit closer to 5 hrs i always try to do my very best as i said i cant. Make people catch fish ..  TV shows and reality are often very different from each other.. ?
