Had a blast fishing with Cpt Justin and Joe on their beautiful boat. Started out just behind Alcatraz and hooked up with some nice Halibut. Switched spots and got on em again plus caught some stripers in the process. Justin was a great captain and very informative and the same goes for Joe. They had obviously worked together and did so well. When we got back to dock Joe cleaned and filleted the fish and gave great ideas for meals. Couldn’t have had a better time. Thanks guys!

Let me just say that me and my girlfriend had a great time. We had the boat all to ourselves, so got a private charter for half off because the other people rescheduled. We were able to take home 3 halibut, which came out to 11 pounds of filets :)

Captain Justin and First Mate Joe were super professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. I just didn’t find them very personable/talkative. I felt like I was an inconvenience to the boat. Joe came off very abrupt and grumpy, like he didn’t wanna talk to me at all. I tried to have friendly conversation to pass the time, but he would give me short answers and not keep it going. Others may not care about this, but as an outgoing/talkative person, who is curious to learn about the industry and the people working in it, I feel like if you run a hospitality business I would want them be more outgoing, friendly, and talkative. Show an interest in your guests, create conversation, make it fun, crack some jokes, etc.

So anyways, I’m not trying to crap on their operation. It was very professional and well-done. They know their stuff. I personally just prefer more outgoing people when I’m on a guided experience. I’m out of my element. It would make me feel more at ease. If you don’t mind that experience, definitely check these guys out.

We picked the Codfsther to take our son and his friends out for a birthday fishing trip and we all had a great time.  The captain did everything the could find the good spots for us and as a result Everyone caught their limit of halibut on a day when very few other boats did so. The boat itself was fantastic, with plenty of room to fish and a comfortable spot to be inside when needed. We will definitely look to book another trip soon!

Captain Justin and deckhand Joe were top notch in their experience of the fishing grounds and most importantly in their knowledge of fishing technique. We were into Halibut in the first 15 minutes and continued to have luck pretty much throughout the day. We even ended with a lightning fast 7 butts in 15 minutes without missing one. I purchased this trip for my dad for Father’s Day and Capt. Justin is beyond amazing! He made sure we had all the proper instructions before the trip, and directions were easy to follow. He also included his phone number and was quick to answer any questions. My dad said this was a bucket list trip and he had a FANTASTIC time. The care and attention he received and the absolute professionalism of Capt. Justin was impeccable! My dad is still raving about his trip and wants to do it again with more friends.
