I booked the trip a day in advance, and Scott was very prompt with communications and made the whole experience easy and painless.  Captain Trip and 1st mate Aaron were awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly, and very attentive to their services.  Weather was awesome, boat was awesome, experience was awesome, but the fish did not cooperate.  We had hookups and boated 1 Tuna, which was very exciting for my son, but that was it.  We could see there are fish in the area, lots of signs of action,... Tripp and Nate did an outstanding job as crew of Ichiban.  Boat was clean, well maintained and had all the right equipment and refreshments for a half-day of fishing the “Ono Lane”.  Tripp had four lines in the water within the first 10 mins of leaving the harbor.  Tripp’s experience as a lifelong fisherman as well as his outgoing and engaging personality truly made this an enjoyable day.  Nate is an excellent driver and his stories of life on the Big Island offered terrific insight... Caught a nice Ono!

Worth every penny, landed a 5 to 600 pound blue marlin. Captain and mate’s skills allowed for a seamless catch and release.

My wife Jenny and I went out on a 1/2 day private charter with Captain Howard and Sarah our First Mate.  We had a beautiful day on the water despite the fishing being slow. We ended up catching one good size Skip Jack Tuna just before we headed in. Sarah called it. Made Ceviche with our catch - see the attached photo. Howard and Sarah were great and we would go again given the chance.
