We had a great time with Captain Rick and First Mate, Josh!! Both were very welcoming to our family of novice(literally, first time on a chartered boat) fishing group which ranged in ages from 8 to 70. We did a half day trip on the Sound side. Captain Rick told us we would be trolling for Spanish Mackerel. Captain Rick did a great job finding the fish and Josh was very patient with us as he educated us on what we needed to do. Wasn’t long and we were pulling in fish on the regular. Josh showed us how to unhook the caught fish and reset the lines in the water. We were allowed to go up in the Captain’s perch and check out the view as well. It was a very relaxed trip, but successful from the fishing standpoint too!! Josh was a lot of fun to talk to and we heard a few good fish stories to boot!! We hope to return and book a deep water trip with them next time we are in OBX. We would recommend Free Agent to anyone!!

Was a great day overall. Caught some fish early on, and then a whole lot of crab. My kids had an absolute blast. Can’t recommend these guys enough.

The weather was terrible on are day to go out. The captain called us and moved the trip up a couple days for better weather. The first mate Josh was awesome he has all the patience first first timers and kids.  I will tell everyone that the Free agent charter is awesome.  Thanks again Captain and Josh

I brought my Mom and kids, it was our first time doing something like this and it was amazing. If your on the fence you definitely want to book this trip with Capitain Rick. Josh did an amazing job keeping lines running and working with all of us and making us feel like we could catch anything.
