Hello Jason, I’m sorry to see that you didn’t like the trip, normally this is the way we do it because our clients want to get the fish and we just want to secure that the fish gets on the hook for them. The outriggers are NECESSARY because we can’t put all the 7 poles we use in the water at the same time when troll fishing without using it because get entangled with each other and it’s the only way to fish on this waters if you want to use as many rods as we use to have more chances. We have done it on the other way when the clients told us that they want to do it different, but you can’t have as many rods out as you have when you use the outriggers. This is the way everybody fish here because it improves the chances on catching fish.
