Captain John Troutman has been a captain since 2005, but he's been fishing his whole life! The first captain license he obtained was from the Government of Japan. He moved to Hawaii in 2018, and transferred his license to become a US Coast Guard certified captain. A love for the water transferred over into his work life, too – he retired from the U.S. Marine Corps after 27 years of honorable service, primarily in the Pacific where he served 20 years on Okinawa. His favorite thing about running charters is to watch his customers catch fish. Capt. John considers Hawaii to be one of the best places in the world to chase and catch Marlin, Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna. Even better, Hawaii is the most beautiful place to do it in! He can't wait to have you on board to discover this thrill of a lifetime for yourself.
