- Capt. Chris has been fishing on Galveston bay since early childhood. His family has a long history commercial and recreational fishing these waters, which has given him a wealth of experience fishing for the different species our Galveston Bay system and near shore waters have to offer. Chris has a love for angling – a passion his father instilled in him at a very young age. He has been fortunate to travel to many places targeting a variety of fish species during his 10 years in the Navy as well as personal travels since his transition back to civilian life. He has had the opportunity to chase Bonefish on the flats in the Hawaiian Islands, Snook in the mangroves of the Florida Keys, Tarpon on the rivers of Costa Rica, Rainbow Trout and Salmon in Western Alaska, and many others. Interestingly, the techniques employed for catching fish all over the world are not all that different than here in our local waters but have helped Chris sharpen his instincts for finding fish.
