My family was traveling to Naples to get together and at the last moment decided to try fishing.  We booked a trip with Joe at Reel Funds Fishing Charters and the experience was exceptional.  Joe accepted quickly and kept us up to date and in the know of what was going on.  We told him we were “newbies” and he really took care of us.  Joe and Matt met us right on time and we got out and to our first fishing spot.  We dropped our lines and instantly “fish on” and we were pulling fish up left and right.  Joe and Matt were awesome helping us get the fish off and getting bait on and getting back to fishing.  When we hooked some big ones, they talked us through everything to help us land the fish.  My family LOVED it and we came home with some excellent fish that we cooked up the next day with family and friends.  The experience was much better than I would have ever imagined and I really appreciate Joe and Matt taking the time and patience to allow us to catch the fish while they showed us how to land hook them and land them.  We caught many fish including Snapper, Grouper, Shark, Barracuda and even a massive Giant Grouper that Joe helped my daughter land.  Absolutely a Blast and we look forward to doing it again.  We HIGHLY recommend Joe and Reel Funds Fishing Charters.  Simply put great fishermen but even better people!!

It was a calm, hot day.  When the water is so calm there is no breeze to keep things cool.
Got there and captain Joe and mate Howard were ready to go.  Boarded and off we went.  The two motors did their job, and within a bit we were anchor down fishing.
With the first drop of or lines, FISH ON!
And that is pretty much how the day went.  Drop or line, FISH ON. And repeat.
When the bites slowed captain Joe moved us to a new spot, and we never had a place where we did not catch.
Some species were out of season so we couldn’t keep, but that was ok too. 
We ended up with more than plenty to take home and enjoy, and to share.

We had an amazing time fishing with Captain Joe and Matt.  The weather was perfect, we caught limit in short order.  They took great care of us ensuring we had the best experience possible.  It was the last day of Grouper and we caught some whoppers! We even caught a puffer and a talkative one at that.  We separated and froze the fish straight away and have been enjoying Grouper and Snapper all the way back in the Great Smokey Mountains ever since.  We would highly recommend using Reel Funds Fishing Charters and we are looking forward to fishing with them again next year.  Thank You Captain Joe and Matt for adding joy and fun to our vacation!

Had a great day of fishing with Capt. Joe and Eli. Not only was the communication leading up to the trip excellent, but they ensured our experience while fishing was the best it could be. I don’t think our hooks were bare for more than 30 seconds before they were quick to re-bait, allowing us to cast back into the water. Joe navigated where we needed to go, and Eli provided the stand-up comedy, keeping us entertained! They ensured they knew the type of fish we were looking to catch, and we did not go home empty-handed; they filleted our fish and we immediately took them to a local restaurant to cook for lunch. Delicious!

I would highly recommend Joe and Eli. We plan to schedule again in the near future.

Capt Joe was recommended by a pro Bass fisherman and boy did he deliver!  Was on the snapper right away and they kept biting all day.  Boat was exceptionally clean, had an onboard lav and the first mate was constantly on it for every catch, rebating and all were perfectly cordial and conversation was fun and informative.  The weather was beautiful and the waves small.  Just a great day and I will be back!
