Fishing was slow, but that’s just fishing. We caught a huge (I think) Mahi mahi. It was great. Captain and crew did everything they could to get us on the fish. Loved it!

We were picked up at the beach and were on the water by 6:30. We each caught a rooster fish and several other species of fish. Juan is very knowledgeable about fishing and the area and answered all of our questions. He offered us pineapple, Imperial beer/rum shots, and then prepared our fish and served us ceviche/tortilla chips. (So you may want to specify when you get on board, if you want filets.) We highly recommend him and $400 is a great price! Great guy!

We went out with our six year old son and eight year old daughter and they had an amazing time catching fish, spotting whales and turtles, and enjoying the hospitality of the crew.  We could not think of a better way to spend the morning and highly recommend this to anyone in the area.

This was my first time fishing in Costa Rica, and it was my girlfriend’s first time ever fishing, and we had a great experience. The captain and crew were very knowledgeable of the area and put us on some fish within a hour of leaving the dock. Would definitely book them again next year!

If you’re looking for an offshore guide, I would highly suggest Captain Mendez. He was more excited to catch fish then we were. He asked us what we wanted to do and succeeded. He and his mate provided excellent service, drinks, lunch, and even a snack of what we caught at the end of the day!
