- After fishing Lake Tawakoni for over 30 years, I can testify that this lake has it all. Deep open water, deep timber, shallow water, and humps. Giant Blue Cat, Channel Cat, Flat Head as well as Striped Bass, Black Bass, and Crappie. Since retiring from the dairy industry I have devoted the last six years to fishing Lake Tawakoni exclusively. I love taking kids out and getting them into fishing. There's nothing quite like landing a giant trophy Blue Cat. I am the owner and guide at Thunder Cove Guide Service. My goal is to make each trip both productive and enjoyable for everyone aboard. I am constantly updating equipment so you have the latest tech on your side.
