Nick and Gavin were fantastic. Our group consisted of my wife and I, our 26 year old son and his fiancée, and our 22 and 17 year old sons- everyone had varying level of experience fishing and barely any of us had ever been on a boat. Nick and Gavin were patient and taught us how to fish. They did all the work and let our group really enjoy the trip.  Pre trip communication was amazing, with fast response times and clear answers.  Would highly recommend fishing charters of San Diego.

There were 4 in our fishing party, we headed straight to the islands, the captain had already secured the bait so that did not take away from our paid time.  Shortly after we arrived at Coronado Islands we started catching fish and that continued on throughout our 12 hour day.  I would book again but would suggest keeping a close eye on the bait usage.  Great trip!!!!!! Brought home 65lbs of filleted yellow tail plus a couple of bass.

We could not be happier with our experience! Nick and Gavin got us into fish and we fished non stop for the entire time!  We had our 3 teenage boys and Nick and Gavin were handing them baited lines as soon as they caught one then they would catch another one! We kept every fish we could and Nick cleaned and prepared them all so all we need to do is cook them when we get home! Between the five of us we just have caught over 100 fish. It was our first ocean fishing experience and it was everything we hoped for. Nick and Gavin were knowledgeable and friendly and did all they could to make our trip enjoyable. We had an amazing offshore fishing experience as a family of four, and it’s all thanks to our fantastic guides, Gavin and Nick! From start to finish, they made everything easy and incredibly fun. They took care of all the baiting and setup—literally all we had to do was drop our lines in and enjoy the action.
Both Gavin and Nick were not only professional, but also super friendly, helpful, and patient. They made us feel totally comfortable, even though we’re not experienced fishers. Their laid-back and fun personalities made the trip even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was spotting dolphins swimming nearby—it felt like a bonus adventure on top of the fishing! At the end of the day, Nick even filleted the fish we caught so we could take it home and enjoy the freshest meal possible. Gavin and Nick did an outstanding job making our first sea fishing trip as a family of 4 a success. Once captain Gavin found the fish, he and Nick worked like a well oiled machine, baiting the hooks, measuring fish, keeping us with lines in the water. We were fish on most of the time! We have two boys, 11 and 13. Gavin and Nick did a great job keeping them reeling up the fish. We caught a sheep head, Bonita, bass and a couple baracuda. Totally worth it. Highly recommend. We will be booking again a longer charter on our next visit to San Diego!
