The captain and first mate were the dynamic duo! When they work that well together you will catch fish. We had triples within the first 30 minutes of getting our lines wet, many single and doubles then triples 3 more times. Filled the freezer with Mahi Mahi. Not only was the fishing excellent the amount of effort put in to making sure we had a great time was unmatched. I have fished deep sea over 15 times around the world and this crew is in the top 2! JJ is the most experienced mate I have fished with. He wanted us to understand how, why, what we were doing, not your typical here’s a rod with a fish hooked now just reel it in. He allowed us to actually fish! Captain Dennis put us on and kept us on fish. What a team they are! Had a first timer and they made sure she was very comfortable. Excellent trip and can’t wait to book again!

Dennis and JJ were amazing! We were two dads with two 13 year old boys, and it was clear from the beginning that they both were giving a ton of effort to ensure that we had a good time. In the big picture, fishing is a little bit of a crap shoot, and the guys of D-N-T were knowledgeable about where the fish were, got to know exactly what sort of experience we were looking to get, and they totally accomplished the mission. JJ was great with instruction on exactly what he was doing with the rigging, baiting, and general angling knowledge. Dennis put us on Mahi early, and we filled the cooler before noon. After that, they had the local knowledge of where Sailfish were biting, and he put us on them. I would highly recommend D-N-T to anyone from first timers to experienced anglers looking to hit big fish. Great time – would absolutely love to go out with these gentlemen again.

From the moment we spoke on the phone about the trip to the moment we docked back at the marina, every aspect was catered to us to have a good time. We booked a full day for our party of six guys.

Captain Dennis was at the helm for our trip. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable and educational. A true man who loves being on the water. He provided us with top-notch fishing gear and bait (Goggle Eye $100/dzn), making the experience even more enjoyable. The 1st mate, Sage, was great. He worked constantly without ever an ebb in his smile or tasks and was very gracious helping each of us with the poles, reeling instructions, and baiting and setting lines. We wish him the very best on his journey to being a captain of his own vessel. 

Throughout the day, we caught several fish. Capt Dennis asked if we wanted to switch up our targets and rig things differently for other species, but we opted to gamble instead and kept hunting big sailfish (we’re not the guys that expect or want to put pounds of fish in the boat, we’re a casual bunch of amateurs). The boat was clean and spacious. The cabin was the perfect escape for anyone that wanted a break in the AC and made for a perfect spot for us all to devour our Pub-Subs.

THE REAL TREAT was sighting a 30’ish foot whale shark basking and feeding about 6 miles offshore. A once in a lifetime opportunity. The water was as calm as a pond, so we opted to pause fishing and swim alongside the whale shark. It truly was a happy birthday trip. We immensely appreciated the captain allowing us to pull the lines in and getting us into a safe and manageable position to open swim alongside one of the ocean’s greatest fish!

Overall, this fishing trip was an unforgettable experience that my friends & I will cherish forever. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and thrilling outdoor adventure. Your mileage may vary, it’s the great outdoors after all and Mother Nature doesn’t always set the table the way we want, but for us, it couldn’t have been a better day on a better boat with a better crew.

And that we did we ended up with 2 sailfish and 7 Black Fin Tuna. This crew are fish hunters.  This trip was one full of memories and we all had a great time. Had my 10 year old grandson aka Bubs that had an awesome time catching his 1st sailfish and I caught my 1st sailfish as well. The joy of watching him pull that one in was the best feeling ever. We also took a friend that had never been charter fishing and he enjoyed every moment of it.

What an amazing fishing experience! Captain Tony and first mate Dennis are a class act. They welcomed my family with open arms, I thought I knew something about fishing, I was wrong. The they explained every detail on the types of bates, what to look for in the water, how to follow the birds, and spot the changing currents. I was amazed by their professionalism. Yes we caught plenty of big fish, also lost a lot, but the interactions, explanations, and experience I will be forever grateful. I am so thankful for the knowledge I now have thanks to Captain Tony. We will remember this always!
