Wow! Really doesn’t describe our awesome day with Captain Joe and Artie. My wife and I had an incredible trip!! I am an avid freshwater bass fisherman and fished competitively in my younger days. Captain Joe and Artie are not just geat fisherman they are amazing teachers. My wife and I have never fished using the techniques required to catch striped bass. In no time, Captain Joe and Artie had us novice saltwater fishermen catching striper after striper. We lost count on how many we landed! We also caught some giants on our trip. If you are looking for a trip in the Boston area look no futher than Fish Tales. Captain Joe and Artie are the BEST!!!

This was the first time we go out looking for stripers with capt Joe. It was a wonderful experience. Over five hours, we caught 23 Stripers including 6 keepers. The weather was not perfect with a lot of fog on that day with less than 1/3 mile visibility but Capt Joe’s experience and knowledge of Boston harbor under any circumstance made the trip feel pretty easy and very enjoyable. I definitely recommend Boston fish tales for a great striped bass experience.

Boston Fish Tales is a very trustworthy and friendly fishing charter for those who are looking for a fun adventure out on the water. My family and I had a great time fishing for striped bass early in the morning as we caught quite a few. With the many years of experience and knowledge, Captain Joe and his crew mate have, they were able to find the perfect places for us to catch large fish and bait. My trip and experience was heavily improved by the friendliness and help provided by the crew. Overall, I would recommend this charter to anyone looking for a wonderful fishing excursion as the whole trip was memorable and fun. Thank you Captain Joe for one of the best fishing experiences I’ve ever had.

I can’t find the words the explain what a fabulous trip this was!!
Not only was Joe hugely responsive beforehand, making sure we had a nice day for it, knew where to go and what to bring (just ourselves, snacks, a cooler), but both he and his crew mate Nico were super friendly and helpful and kind and enthusiastic and knowledgeable and funny and fun for the entire trip.
We caught sooo many fish we lost count. We brought home several huge ones (within state laws/limits of course). We kissed fish (eww but my 8 year old loooved that). Joe and Nico were fantastic with my son who got to reel in fish with help and even got the hang of it and reeled in a huge one all on his own!! We fed seagulls fish bits and talked and laughed and learned and spent hours on the water.

I cannot say enough what a great experience this was. It was a huge adventure and we were 100% part of it. They fileted the bass for us and we cooked some of it up (we got so much we didn’t eat it all yet) when we got home and it was delicious!

As my 8.5 year old said “that was the bestest day ever!”

We had four people all ages - 70 yrs grandma, Mom, & two teen boys (19 & 17).  We all caught fish, threw back more than we could take home, and really enjoyed the morning with Joe & Artie.  They are personable, keep a super clean/organized boat, and definitely catch fish.  Perfect day!!!  Thank you both!!
