Booked a crabbing trip for my wife’s 60th birthday and had family fly out from Colorado and what a great experience we had with Captain Tom! Very knowledgeable, great personality and played great music while heading to our pots on a gorgeous Oregon day! We caught our limit in just four pots! I had my boys with me who are 6 and 4.  Tom made sure to put the extra effort to make this a memorable trip for all of us.  My boys had a blast and couldn’t wait to get home and eat their fish and crab.  I wasn’t sure how it was going to work with my young kids, but his equipment made it so they could catch fish with ease!  They loved the bumpy boat ride, we even saw some wales.  They’ll be talking about this experience for a long time!

We enjoyed Josh and Mark as crew.  The boat had an enclosed cabin, helpful in the cold wind.  We didn’t catch much but will enjoy fresh Chinook salmon for dinner tonight!

Tom took our family of four out for salmon fishing near the mouth of the Umpqua.  We’re all new to charter fishing.  He was happy to answer our dumb questions and we learned a lot from him.  He really accommodated our interests and he looked after everyone to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.  I wouldn’t hesitate to fish with him again.

Good trip. Caught limt of rock fish with a couple ling cod. Rough seas for size of boat. Try to plan for a calm day.
