Captain Travis has fished his whole life. Having grown up in Washington, he fished the entire state and the coast of Washington. He later moved to Oregon where he took up fishing in the shallow waters and in the ocean. Captain Travis is a fun and lovable person whose previous guests have all enjoyed spending time with, and most of whom are repeat customers. He accredits his love of fishing to his late mother who is known to their family as Granny Jean. Captain Travis says his late mother was an avid fisherwoman who had instilled the love of fishing in him from a young age.

Fishing Report Winchester Bay Oregon. Lingcod and Rockfish bite has been hot, as ocean conditions allow us to get out. Crabbing is starting to pick up in the ocean and will continue to get better. We are looking forward to our halibut opener May 1st limited to two per angler. Striper fishing has been good in the estuaries, and will get better as they move down into the main stream Umpqua. Pink fin perch fishing is drawing near in the bay as Motherโ€™s day approaches. There have been a few Springers caught in the Reedsport area, with fish being targeted up river. Shad fishing is coming up quick in the main stream Umpqua. Now is the time to get your seats booked for halibut, pink fin perch, striper, small mouth bass, lingcod, rockfish, shad, and fall salmon. Please remember to wear your PFDโ€™s and ensure they are in good working order. Have a happy and safe Easter Weekend.
