My friend Gary Mauser and I had an incredible time fishing in the bayous and estuaries around Lake Charles, Louisiana with Catain Tom Smith. He was friendly, helpful, and determined that we had an enjoyable time. Conditions weren’t ideal, but if you’re a fisherman and not a catcher, you realize fishing is a tough sport. You have to find the fish, water conditions have to be right, you have to have the right bait, and they have to be hungry. That being said, though we didn’t catch a boat full of fish, we had a great time. Tom’s price was very reasonable and he worked very hard to earn his fee. I highly recommend that you give Tom a chance. Gary, who lives in Houston plans to make many return trips with Tom. I’m from Wisconsin, and it’s not likely that I’ll make many return visits but if I do, I’ve got Tom’s number.

Fished the 7th and 8th of September, had the best fishing ever, couldn’t have asked for anything more. Tom got us on some huge Redfish that were unbelievable, and plenty of trout to take home. Tom definitely knows his stuff, would highly recommend. We’ll definitely be back.
