Captain Jim was a wonderful host.  The fish were not biting, even though he and his crew did everything they could to entice them!  We are experienced fishermen and know sometimes there is nothing you can do to will fish into the boat. However, we enjoyed a great day on the ocean and enjoyed the entertainment Carlos the parrot provided. We will give Jim another chance to prove his skill when we return to Kona.

Captain Jeff and his crew were AMAZING. They put us on fish right away and it was non stop. i actually had to take a small break lol because i was catching so many fish. so I highly recommend Kona dice to everyone. You will not be disappointed and you’ll leave with a bag of fish just like I did thank you Kona dice appreciate the time and I would recommend the six hour or above. Also got to see Whales and 🦈 as well. great trip great day.

We had fished with Captain Jim a little over a year ago, and while it was an enjoyable trip, there was no action until the final 30 minutes, when we caught an 80lb blue marlin. This trip was very similar, as Captain Jim and deckhand Tevin were constantly switching up lures and tactics.  A couple of near misses with a billfish and big bull Mahi, but it looked as if the trip would end without a hook up. Our family of 4 (two adults, two kids 10 and 12) had a great 3/4 day trip. The kids are beginners, but the crew did a great job showing them what to do. We hooked a 110lb blue marlin early (my 12 year old got it to the boat, but it slipped away). The captain/crew saw that catching any fish was more important to my family than the big prize fish and managed to find a nice school of yellow fin and rainbow runners. Booked with Kona Dice charter. Captain Jim and mate William were awesome. Highly recommend. Hooked a small wahoo 10 minutes out of the marina. Bit us off. Catching live bait fish was very cool. Caught a skipjack tuna, and lost another. Great experience,  good boat and gear. These guys know what there doing! Very experienced and knowledgeable. Would go with them again in a heartbeat.
