Early bird gets the worm, at high/incoming tide yhe tarpon are stacking up under the bridge lights all through yhe city of Miami. They have been feasting on live shrimp at the shadow lines and bridge pilings. This young juvenile was tricked with a “Live Target” artificial shrimp and fought like hell in disbelief! Having a remote controlled trolling motor allows our charter boat to navigate yhe current and obstructions, efficiently landing the fish in 15 minutes on light tackle. Out client was extremely pleased and begged for more.

October 1st, the mullet have finally arrived in Miami and can be found moving along the seawalls, beaches, and bridges. Snook, tarpon, jack crevalle, even big Mangrove snappers have awaken. No boat necessary, now is the time to go fish and bring home a decent meal for your family. Hit up your local tackle shop for a Cassnet or buy an artificial mullet lure. This year opening day snook season was incredible! The mullet run finally hit Miami last week, and the fish were everywhere on the beaches in the creeks and canals on the flats. My daughter and I had so much fun watching this slot 32 inch hit the Rapala top water lure. Go out and fish. Domestic Six Pack.

1100 - 1500 feet deep straight east of Fowey Light. The fish are thick, 7 - 15 lb. Eating anything you throw at them. Mr. Aurajo was covered in blood, in a matter of minutes. Every rid I had on yhe boat was hooked up with a fish, we swapped rods 4 - 5 times, re-baiting and literally just dropping the line over the side, withing seconds it was hooked up again. Tired of Magi and reaching our limits we headed inshore to collect lobster and spearfish. Black grouper, red grouper, mutton snapper, and a triggerfish. What a day. GO FISH!!!

When faced with adversity, one must adapt and overcome. That is what this young man did, it was a tough morning Fishing with very few bites. But when a guest claims he’s hooked the bottom, that statement isn’t always true. I’ve learned a lot of tricks in my 45 years of fishing, nothing is what it seems.

Visiting from California, Mr. Fischer wanted to do a few hours of fishing offshore before leaving the Dirty South. Upon our approach, I realized it was a massive school of black fin. Fish were breaching the surface with a few jumping as well. The naked ballyhoo we trolled were hit before the drags could even be set. Quickly switching out to Williamson tuna feathers, we run and gunned them for the next few hours before sunset.
