Just to be clear on your review, there was no communication regarding what fish you were targeting.  However, naturally, captains target Redfish, Trout, Flounder and Black Drum.  I notified you in advance that it would be a different captain, as I was booked. You did not withdraw from the trip.

Speaking of dishonesty, there are several dishonest statements I will take the time to address.

In addition, we do not use ships, we fish on shallow running saltwater boats. Captain Mike provided a 2022 24ft El Pescador, which is a top rated vessel.  There is no way any captain can avoid sharks or stingrays as the saltwater is their habitat.  Usually sharks linger where the fish are located.

Addressing the statement of your disability status and your sons military status, there was no mention and no request for a military discount and no ADA request. I have donated many trips to the Warriors Weekend that is held in our community, and uphold much respect for our active military duty and retired military veterans.  I am not sure why that is apart of the review.

Captain Mike purchased the average amount of croaker needed for the number of clients. 10 dozen total for 4 individuals, cost is $12.00 a dozen.  That is the bait house cost not our cost. When you click to book, it outlines the bait is an extra cost. There was never an inquiry of what the bait cost is prior to the trip.  If you wanted to keep the bait, that should have been expressed. However, croaker die and there is no way to reuse them.

Captains cannot control the weather or water conditions, there is never a guarantee. Addressing your statement of 4ft to 5ft seas, I have attached a photo that clarifies those are not 4ft to 5ft seas.  If that had been the condition clients would not be able to stand up on a bay boat, or fish in those condition.

I have maintained nearly a 5.0 rating out of 5.0 previously because customer satisfaction remains the top priority. However, customer communication is key to the success.  Your review has now decreased my rating.

The remaining balance remained the same cost, as I do not increase prices.  However, I did discount $20 after you avoided remitting payment for the complete total balance owed.  It took several attempts to contact you, along with text messages and emails. It was over 24 hours for you to remit payment, which payment is due immediately when you take a guided trip.

In the future I would advise for you to communicate with you captain prior to taking a trip and confirm the expense. You were provided a larger boat than what you booked with, and we do not fish on ships.
