Good fishing in the a.m. today, but petered out in the afternoon. Finished with a handful of mahi, keeping a couple for dinner. 4 for 5 on sails and a small striped Marlin. The bite is starting to pick up and it was clinic time yesterday. It’s hard to beat customers wanting to learn, so it was a hook your own fish day and even got a little help at the leader. Finished the day raising 12, 11 bites, and releasing 6. We managed to stay away from the mahi most of the day, but still ended up with six or seven in the 20-25# range. It’s tough to say just yet on how the season is starting out. We certainly haven’t been setting the world on fire in terms of size, but you could fill the boat with these guys each and every day. If action is what your after, it’s in abundance right now. I expect the bigger fish and marlin to start showing up any minute since the food source is definabtly here. We’ve seen several sails over the past few day, but it has been tough to get solid bites from them. A nice mixed bag over the past couple days and some absolutely huge roosters.

I’m way behind on reports, but I’ll bomb on here. Fishing has been hit or miss, but of course my expectations always far exceed my customers. Sailfish have been pretty steady, Tuna have been abundant. Mahi are thinning out, but typically have a couple a day. Marlin are pretty good for this time of year and at minimum we are rainy one most trips. Not the most detailed report, but wanted to get something up. The weather is absolutely spot on perfect everyday and good times are always had.
