Walker and Austin are a great team! We had quite an adventure with weather delays and hiccups but we got the trip in and it was worth the wait. We had a blast and they were very knowledgeable about the area and fishing on the Outer Banks!  They got us on the shrimp right away, had great patience to teach us and closed out the trip with a nice large basket of blue crabs!  Mike and the guys are a great team…Thanks guys see you next year!

One of the best experiences we have had on a vacation! We didn’t realize we would get to fish as well as drop nets and pick up crab pots. It’s too early for shrimp season but we caught a meal of fish and a bushel of crabs. The crew was great..very personable and educational and went above and beyond. We would absolutely choose the this company again!! Mike was great to communicate with as well, very responsive. Thanks guys for a memorable day!

This was a once in a lifetime fishing trip and I know we will never top it. My husband and I had the best experience you could ever hope for. We loved the ride out with excellent company. Walker and Lyle were passionate about finding the shrimp and excited to get our catch on board. They enjoy the fishing still not like some people that take you out and you can tell their love for the water is gone. They answered all of our questions and were just awesome guys. Even if we didn’t catch anything we still would of had a great experience. But MAN what we caught was ridiculous! Our first pull we caught about 5lbs we were happy we didn’t get smoked! But then Walker comes running out the cabin “DROP THE NET!!” And OMG you could see them jumping out of the water. We were all giddy like a kid at Christmas! And the final tally over 300lbs of shrimp! Not only was our freezer full but we also had a 36qt cooler full. We never in a million years thought we would catch that much. Please do not expect your trip to be like this it really was once in a lifetime but trust me book it! They work hard to find the best spot and make it a good experience for everyone. The guys were super cool and easy to talk to like meeting up with an old friend after a few years and it would have been fun even if we walked away with 1lb of shrimp. Just being on the water on a beautiful day with good company beats any day at work. Thanks again guys I can’t wait to come back and see ya’ll again.

I cannot say enough good things about this trip! Walker (Captain Mike’s son) and Lyle (the mate) were engaging and informative, and we all had a blast. I was initially a little concerned since many of the reviews had kids going on this trip. My husband and I took our 22-year-old twins and their two friends…and I was hoping they wouldn’t be bored. Not only were they not bored, but they loved helping sort the shrimp and prep them for cooking and hooking the crab pots. Other than the 20 minutes or so getting to the spot where Lyle and Walker dropped the shrimp nets, the “kids” were busy the entire time. My husband and I even got in on the action!

When all was said and done, we ended up with more than 20 lbs of shrimp and almost a whole bushel of crabs! We had a seafood night last night and have enough to last us the rest of the week!

We will definitely do this trip every time we are in the Outer Banks. We highly recommend taking your family out in the Wendy Kaye!

Great trip. Perfect for little ones too. We caught 15 lbs of shrimp and 40 crabs. The boat was comfortable and the crew was friendly.
