Great sailfish action this monring. Fish were hungry and fiesty. Managed to load up on nice threadfin hearing and than set up for kitfishing. Had a double right off the the bat and manager two more sailfish. Bucket list sailfish checked off today

Wahoo bite leading up to the full moon has been hot. Many boats are getting multiple shots at the elusive wahoo. My half day am charter on Tuesday 5 days before the moon produced a nice wahoo bite on the shotgun bait. What a run the fish gave us. Battled Wahoo for about 5 mins but its next run was straight up the mono and what we got a "quick release", oh well. Bite for wahoo tend to heat up days leading to full moon though a week after the moon. The new moon also stirs up the wahoo too but not as much as the week leading to the moon. Clients from Michigan did land this great barracuda that gave a great first run and pulled hard the rest of the way. Also pulled the hook (it happens) on a nice bull Mahi.

SLOB WAHOOO Clients arrived 1hr late but lined us up for a slob Miami Wahoo. fish ate at 8:15 end of outgoing and man did he tug hard, I got the planer off and we cranked and cranked when he approached prop wash of course dove right in but I was able to handline him out and bring him closer. The wahoo made another dive at prop wash as I stuck him with the gaff and almost yanked me in the water but was able to lift him in transom than the boat., What a fish!!! Days leading up to full moon produce Wahoo strikes!! 22-Jan NNW 5 knots Moon rise 1:00 pm low tide 10:15am
