We had an amazing 4hr morning salmon fly fishing experience with captain Phil. This was a special trip for my son’s 10th bday- he was so excited and ready for this and had the best time. We met at the office building, got dressed in waterproof waiters and boots then drive down to put the boat in the river. While traveling a few mins of going downstream to our beginning spot we learned all about the river and what we could expect. We learned about what fish are quality to keep and eat. We each caught at least one salmon and one chrome salmon (aka healthy before spawning stage). We were all beginners at fly fishing and Phil was a great teacher. We also saw a bunch of bald eagles along the way. Phil showed us how to gut the fish we caught as well. Overall it was an amazing trip and my son absolutely loved it! A few tips/things to know: the river is quite cold so make sure you wear layers and come early to catch the best fish!

Our scheduled guide couldn’t make it, so we had Matt. Such knowledge and patience (we’ve never fished before). The outfitter hooked us up with waders and boots. A great day!

We had a great day of fishing on the Kenai with Jordan. Unfortunate ate my we got rained out and the fish were not cooperating but still had a peaceful float and a few bites to enjoy our morning Sockey Guide.

Jordan was an excellent guide and was great working with my young kids, my wife, and I-nine of us being experienced. We were able to catch several rainbow trout and had a wonderful time.

Enjoyed the trip, our guide was very nice and helped us learn fly fishing.  We were able to catch some fish during the trip and enjoyed the time we had.
