We caught numerous fish!!  My son, grandson and I agreed that it was the best fishing trip we have ever been on!  Captain Chuck was the best!!!

Can not overstate how much fun my son and I had on this trip. Capt Chuck is an absolute professional. Shortly after booking the trip he called me to suggest a later start time in an attempt to avoid some inclement weather (cold/wind). This call had a huge impact on the trip as we did indeed escape the weather and had a beautiful day ahead of us. Capt Chuck put us on the fish from the first pole in the water and kept us on them throughout the trip. I’m unsure of the exact amount of fish we ended up catching but I think my 8 y/o son nailed it “Hard to be bored when you are catching fish like this” (I’d estimate well over 30 fish). If you are thinking of booking a charter with your family, you cannot go wrong with Capt Chuck and Above The Salt Charters. He worked so well with my son and I. Capt Chuck was hustling around the boat baiting lines, resetting rigs, helping reel in fish, explaining the species, taking pictures, etc. 6hr honestly felt too short. We have found our forever guide anytime we are in the Destin Area. Thanks again Capt Chuck!

Chuck is definitely worth booking a charter without any doubt! First off, we were catching fish within a minute of getting to the reef!  Literally, first line dropped in the water yielded a fish.  We caught a variety of different species and had good consistent action throughout our charter.  Chuck was running back and forth non stop, baiting hooks, taking fish off the lines, along with checking in and helping all 5 of us, including my 5 year old son and 13 year old nephew.  We had some choppy waves and had to navigate around multiple storms in the area, but Chuck made sure our boat ride was as calm as possible and we avoided the inclement weather while maximizing our time fishing. He is an absolutely all around class guy, has a very clean boat that was handled well in the choppy Gulf, and definitely has spots that yield action.  Look forward to booking with him again in the future!

I have been out with CPT Chuck on multiple trips for a one of a kind fishing experience. I always have a great adventure every time that I am on the water.  From the moment that you show up at the dock and meet Chuck, to the time your excursion is over- you will feel as if you have known CPT Chuck for years, and will be looking to book that next fishing trip.  He is a proven veteran who is incredibly down to earth, personable on many facets, friendly, always engaged in conversation, and always ensuring that you are putting fish in the boat. He ensures that your trip has everything from live bait to refreshments, and he knows where the fish are and always has those rods bent, and fish on.  I always caught fish, and if the bite wasn’t hot in a particular area- he moved on, and ensured that we had ample opportunities to catch fish.  Upon returning back from a long day of fishing, CPT Chuck had everything covered from cleaning the fish,  and bagging your freshly caught dinner.  I definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great local one of a kind fishing trip. His prices were fair, reasonable, competitive with other charters; if not better. There was never a time where I did not feel safe and comfortable. We didn’t catch too many that we could bring home due to some seasons being closed, but we did catch a lot of fish and had a great time with captain Chuck. We did get several different kinds of fish that included red snapper, black snapper, toad, trigger, amberjack, Spanish mackerel and ruby reds. Probably more that I’m forgetting. Captain Chuck was great and very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend him!!
