1st off, the trip was after Thanksgiving, and weather took a turn… Captin called early and asked if we wanted to move trip back a few hours to see if weather would get better so we did. The temperature got better but wind did not. Captin took us to a spot that wasn’t his 1st choice but stated we could catch some fish to start off. We fished a few minutes and didn’t get the fish we wanted. We proceeded to move a little farther down (away from another boat who moved in on us) and then caught some nice sand trout. After some fun action we moved to try for some other type of fish. We hooked into bigger fish and it was awesome. Captain was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a blast, especially for conditions. We may return in twice over the next 3 months for other trips. This group is knowledgeable and professional.

We had the absolute best experience with Captain Corey and his first mate, Braden, on the Wahoodat Charter in Gulf Shores, Alabama! They made the trip unforgettable—not just for us adults, but for the kids as well. We limited out on red snapper and even landed a few other great catches, including king mackerel, triggerfish (which we released since it was on the smaller side), and mahi mahi. All because Corey and Braden were an excellent team, and Corey went to exactly where the fish were biting. If they didn’t bite in about 10 min we moved to a new location.

Braden did an incredible job managing all the poles on deck and making sure everyone had the support they needed. Captain Corey went above and beyond to make sure the kids had fun and felt included the entire time.

The Wahoodat was spotless—these guys take excellent care of their boat and clean it after every single trip. On top of that, some of the proceeds go toward supporting research for Syngap Syndrome, which is especially meaningful as Captain Corey’s daughter is affected by it.

This was hands down the best charter experience we’ve ever had. If you’re in Gulf Shores, booking with Wahoodat Charters is an absolute must. I can’t say enough amazing things about the entire experience!

As locals we like to take our friends fishing when they visit, this was the best trip by far. The kids were apprehensive at first but Captain Brandon made them feel relaxed. They could not stop talking about how they loved the trip and can’t wait to go again. the adults had a blast as well because we were abke to relax since the kids were having so much fun! Captain Brandon stayed a littke extra so we could watch the pod of dolphins that were playing nearby. Overall one of the best experiences taking kids out on the water.

Went on 6 hour AM trip and had an amazing experience.  Had our limit of Red Snapper within first 30 minutes of fishing time.  After that Captain Corey found us a limit of Triggerfish also.  Had 1 really nice Trigger in that also.  We continued to catch fish almost everywhere we went.  Was an absolute blast to fish with these guys!  Thanks Corey!!

We had an amazing adventure with Captain Brayden. He took us to multiple fishing spots to ensure we caught enough for dinner. He answered many questions from our kids (ages 10 and 12). We also saw dolphins, pelicans, a bald eagle, and more. There was great communication and details before the trip. We highly recommend!!!
