Fishing is starting to pick up on the kasilof river. very low pressure from other anglers. great chance to catch king salmon this early in the year. Also landed a steelhead and a dolly varden had two other king salmon bites. this fishery is only going to get better as we move forward into June.

Great guide, we were trying to fish for King Salmon. Bad thing now is you cannot keep a King Salmon, they have it catch and release. You can use a treble hook or bait. Makes it pretty hard to catch a king Salmon these days!

Mr. Shockey I can see your frustration with the regulations in regards to the king salmon closure. Of course its going to be difficult to catch kings with no bait. When you booked the trip, kings were open to catch and kill. Due to poor run strength ADFG decided to close kings on july 17, 3 days prior to your trip. fortunately we offer sockeye fishing on every trip during these times which provides more action and a limit of 3 per person. while fishing we constantly strive to provide our customers...
