Background
Capt. Alfredo Rubio Quintana first fished at Loreto with his father on an 18' wooden boat with a 6 HP engine, using nets. That was 25 years ago when Capt. Alfredo was 12 years old. Their next Loreto fishing boat was a 20' fiberglass boat, a narrow boat with a 25 HP Johnson engine. When the captain was 17, they bought their first "speed boat." It was a 22' La Paz-style skiff with a 55 HP motor. In this boat, his father and he would lead as fishing guides for private boats visiting the Club de Vuelo. At 24, Captain Alfredo began working on his own fishing boat. His dad continues the same work, as does one brother. The three of them now have 4 Super Pangas. Nowadays, Captain Alfredo has a kind of enterprise with his sons with 4 Super Pangas ("Alicia 1", "Alicia 2", "Alicia 3", and "Aleisamar") and 1 boat ("Kaiser").
