I have done 20+ charters in the keys and this was without a doubt one of the very best.

Booked a very last minute trip with my 8 year old son. Jon was super flexible on timing to accommodate us.

We booked a 2 hour trip that turned into a 6 hour trip. Both my son and I had an incredible time. Jon is also a biologist and knows a TON about the ecosystem which is very cool.

the boat is in excellent condition and unlike too many other charters he uses great tackle. Twin power reels, St Croix rods, etc. We caught mangrove snapper, jacks, and missed our shot at a few snook (not due to the capts lack of effort!). He kept us busy and our hooks baited at all times. We kept a few snapper for dinner which my son really loved

Hes intelligent and knows where to fish. Awesome with kids. This is hands down the one to book if youre considering a back bay trip. Thanks again for an awesome day we will

This was absolutely the fish theme trip of a lifetime. It was a quick trip, but you don’t need to take a lot of time when you catch some of the best targeted species in the fishing capital of the world. Captain Jon-Paul put me on fish within 20 minutes of hitting the water. Fish in the mangroves for a bit caught a nice grouper, then moved out to the flats targeting bonefish, but were pleasantly surprised when we got hit and landed a big Permit fish. Once again, fishing trip of a lifetime. I will be back with family members.

I touched base with Jon-Paul prior to the trip to see if my son and I might be able to target a few different types of fish and he worked his tail off trying to deliver. We really wanted to get some mangrove snapper and trout to take to a restaurant and we had no problem getting that done. Snook were a challenge for us but it wasn’t due to lack of effort. We saw plenty of fish but no takers. He was also able to put us on some juvenile Goliath grouper which was a blast. My son really wanted to hook a shark and we were in the right spot with a large shark near the boat but it just wouldn’t commit. So much fun out there with a super cool and knowledgeable captain. The day of our charter was only about 50 degrees starting out and unfavorable conditions. However, Captain Jon-Paul was able to get us on fish and we ended up taking plenty for the evenings meal. We never got on the target species but had a blast anyway! I would happily book again!

Capt. John-Paul is everything you’re looking for in a charter captain. Friendly, knowledgeable, and put us on fish! We booked a half day and enjoyed every minute of it. Our highlight was definitely the tarpon and snook! I highly recommend Capt. John-Paul! Thanks for the memories, Capt!
