We recently went on a striper fishing charter in the Outer Banks, and I can’t recommend it enough! Our captain was incredibly hard-working and dedicated to ensuring we had a successful day on the water. He utilized various methods to locate the fish, showing great expertise and knowledge of the area.

His patience and determination truly paid off. After some time, we were finally on the fish, and my 10-year-old son had the thrill of catching his very first striper! The captain was not only skilled but also fantastic with kids, making the experience enjoyable and memorable for my son.

I took my dad out on his first ever fishing charter and it was an unforgettable one for him! We booked a 4hr fishing charter and Captain Vinny took us out on the ocean to look for some red drum. He tried some trolling while we looked for the drum but the overcast skies that day limited our visibility to see them. He decided to try some different techniques to try and land something into the boat but the fish were just not biting. We were nearing the end of the trip when one of the lines started screaming. My dad grabbed hold of the rod and Captain Vinny helped walk him through everything he needed to land the biggest fish my dad’s ever caught! He was able to land a 45 inch red drum which is considered a trophy fish in NC. Unfortunately my luck wasn’t as good that day but getting to see my dad catch his biggest fish ever let alone a trophy one was something both he and I will never forget. Captain Vinny did everything to ensure our trip was successful and that we caught something on our trip. He went above and beyond and we can’t say enough good things about our experience. If you want a captain who wants nothing more than for you to catch fish, then Stick Em Fishing is the charter for you! You will not be disappointed!

After recently acquiring our first seaworthy boat, my son and I chartered a trip with Captain Vincent in hopes of learning tips and tricks for maximizing our fishing adventures in the NC Sound.  Boy, were we not disappointed!!  Captain Vincent was extremely accommodating and exceeded our expectations with the amount of knowledge he was able to convey to us in just one outing.  Techniques covered include baitfishing, sightfishing and using popping-corks for drum, deepwater jigging, pylon fishing for sheepshead and trolling (as well as general advice on things such as rig setups, anchoring techniques, sonar readings, etc.).  I honestly cannot imagine how much time, money and general frustration we avoided by learning these skills from a seasoned fisherman versus trying to do it on our own.  As an added bonus, we even caught fish while doing it!!  Simply put, our trip with Vincent was absolutely amazing and I’d highly recommend him for your next outing!

We have been on other charters, but this was by far the best experience we have ever had fishing on the Outer Banks. Captain Vinny was very knowledgeable about our target species of fish and they were biting as soon as we stopped. Despite the weather not cooperating, the captain was very personable and delivered on an amazing experience. We will definitely be calling him to schedule our next trip. I will never book with a different charter company again.

My three boys and I thoroughly enjoyed our time fishing with Captain Vinny. It was a windy day… bringing some difficulty to our fishing trip. Regardless, Captain Vinny put us on the fish. We quickly caught a dozen sheepshead. Then we had some great success throwing lures into frenzied bluefish (kept another dozen). Then we finished the day catching a very large red drum. We couldn’t have been more satisfied with our trip. I highly recommend booking with Captain Vinny!!
