I can’t say enough good things about my experience with (Captain Lebbeus Kemp), who I used on Friday, Morning August 22, 2025, where I took few clients of mine on this fishing trip. Weather conditions were not in our favor, with heavy rains in the area, but we decided to take a chance and venture out. The “Fishing Gods” must have smiled down at us and we never experienced a drop of rain within the 7-hour fishing trip I booked with my clients.

From the moment we met, it was clear that he not only knew the waters inside and out, but also genuinely cared about making sure we had an unforgettable trip.

Captain Lebbeus Kemp, had everything perfectly prepared—top-notch gear, a clean and comfortable boat, and a plan tailored to the conditions of the day. Within minutes, we were on the fish! We went out with Captain Trenton after Captain Leb had a last minute booking right before us. Capt. Trenton was great and immediately put us on the fish! After a 20 minute boat ride, we cast out and I very quickly caught a bull red. My husband pulled in a nice sized black drum at the same time! We caught several more black drum, sheepshead, and lots of smaller reds all day long. We had a great day fishing with Capt. Trenton who had great tips, is very pleasant, and genuinely a great guy. We won’s hesitate to book again!

What a great day we had being together and working together to fill that cooler with yummy fish. My grandson (13) lives and breathes fishing so this was a truly special experience for him. My granddaughter (10) I was not sure she’d be into it but the moment she’d cast her line…she had a fish on! She was beaming with excitement. Thanks for helping them learn, how to keep safe from the trash fish, and how to support and work together for filling that cooler!

Captain Kemp is one of the best guides along the Texas coast. We have fished multiple guided charters from Rockport to Galveston so feel qualified in saying how outstanding our trip was on Monday, 9/29/25.
Perfect size, well equipped and maintained boat, with Captain Kemp moving us multiple times until we were able to catch a variety of fish including our limit of black drum throughout the morning.

We had a great day of catching fish. He put us right on top of them. At one point in time two of us caught fish at the same time. He did a great job taking care of our rods when a fish would snap the hooks off. Caught a huge red fish as well! I’d say one of the best days out on the water I have ever had. Capt fit right in like one of the guys and that’s what made this trip even better. He gave us a step by step on how to filet the fish which they really appreciated. This guide is the real deal. We look forward to using him again. Thanks for the trip!
