I booked this charter for my son’s birthday and my only hope was that he’d catch at least one big fish — and it far exceeded every expectation!! The boat was spotless and thoughtfully organized and ready to go at arrival. The captain was responsive to all messages, professional, kind, and prioritized our safety from the start. He shared tons of knowledge throughout the day for a fully immersive fishing experience. I’d also note that for having children aboard, he was a perfect fit and showed complete patience, and even shared their joy. It’s clear that he truly loves what he’s doing and is eager to share it with others.

So on our ride home, I asked my son what he thought about the trip, and what he said next spoke louder than anything else I could say…. “I feel like the captain was being himself and is just a really genuine person.” For a teenage boy with big fish chasing dreams, who had just reeled in his bigggest fish, it was ultimately the captain’s character that came to mind first for how his day felt so special. We came home with memories we’ll never forget and a cooler full of fish! Needless to say, we won’t be booking with any other Captain in the area from here on out.

We showed up early and left early, captain liked that. Captain Dave is very friendly and engaging. Had boat ready to go. We made it to his fishing hole and caught 7 Rockfish in about 2 hours (could only keep 3 so released the biggest and best unfortunately), then went after Black Drum about 30 minutes south. Had a few hits but none hooked there. Got back to dock about dusk where Capt Dave fillets the catch and bags the meat for us. Highly recommend his trips.  I do recommend ear plugs if youre sensative to noise as the deisel is very noisy.

Captain and boat was ready for us as soon as we arrived. With a tournament going on and many boats all close together “as in reach out and shake hands” captain mastered the situation. We cought our limit and moved to a more relaxed spot for the remainder of the charter. Been on a lot of charters but this one was the most fun we have had. Will definitely we going out again with this captain. I suggest you do a trip and you will see why.

Went out on a Friday morning at 6am with a small group.  captain Bell was welcoming and ready to go with safety instructions and what to expect.  Cold morning…but got to our spot.  Started off slow but Captain Bell kept pursuing the fish.  Finally spotted what he was looking for and the catch was on! 

Very friendly, knowledgeable, and personable…will definitely book another trip when we’re in town!

We booked this trip a few weeks ago and originally had thought to book in mid August but then I didn’t want to risk it being too hot! Jokes on me cause not only was it not hot it was pretty chilly but the time we had was amazing. We all came home with fish but what we also came was the hunger to do it again. David was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient! Perfect across the board! Thanks again for the awesome memories!
