Captain Lewis was the best! He made us feel like we were fishing with family. He   was so kind and helpful- he had so much patience with our 9 year old grandson- we caught 5 “ keeper fish” - they were speckled trout - we took them to the restaurant at the marina - they were the best and we have some to take home to Ky. We highly recommend Captain Lewis and the Waymaker!!! You won’t be disappointed.

Second time booking with Waymaker Charters (Gratitude) and Captain Ryan.  Ryan is extremely fun to go out and fish with, and very knowledgeable about the area, fishing, and hilarious to be out on the water with!  The whole family had a great time, even the Mrs who has no interest in fishing :) We caught 40+ croakers for live bait to start the morning off, which was a lot of fun, and then reeled at least a half-dozen keeper trouts that made for a great lunch when we got home. We have a very fun and enjoyable trip, started by catching our bait for the day quickly then off to another spot to catch sea trout. Every caught multiple fish and we actually reached out limit with time left in the trip which was great. We fished for some other types of fish for the rest of the time and had an enjoyable ride through the sound. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were met by the captain. He asked what we wanted to fish and said the conditions haven’t been great just after the recent storm. We just wanted to catch fish didn’t matter if big or small. We went out and hit some wreckage and immediately were pulling in fish, when the bite slowed we started trolling and we getting into some great blues. perfect conditions lead to a trip that will rank amongst the best … we fish alot … we know certain days are just amazing and certain days you have to real work ! captain made its easy for us to catch just about everyhing that swims that tastes good . tons of triggers … bunch of sea bass … bonus mahi under the boat … did some sight casting to albis and checked that off the list.
