- Background
- I grew up fishing in the ocean and sound waters around Hatteras. My family has been on the island for generations, both commercial and recreational fishing has been a part of our lives all the way back to my great grandparents. We are always on the water and if we aren't fishing with a rod and reel then we are probably spearfishing or surfing.
- Techniques
- We like to mix up the fishing style with a combination of sight casting, jigging and bait fishing. We will also spend some time trolling (great way to keep the kids busy). Primarily we target Red Drum, Blue fish, Spanish mackerel, flounder and trout. In the spring we also see cobia close to the beach and really enjoy the few weeks of chasing them around! Also being a family and kid friendly charter company we have some great clamming spots in the sound and enjoy taking groups to rake their own clams.
