Captain Cody was born on the Texas Gulf Coast and has been fishing since he was able to hold a rod and reel. His grandfather passed down a lot of knowledge and secrets that have made Captain Cody a successful fisherman.
Techniques
During the summer months, the captain likes to drift croaker over deep structure including oyster beds, rock groins, and around sunken boat wrecks! Also, this is a great time to hop in the water and beat the heat while throwing live croaker over grass beds in thigh-to-waist deep water. In the fall, the captain will be targeting large schools of fish under flocks of seagulls! This can be some of the best fishing of the year. As it gets cold, he will be targeting trophy Speckled Trout wade fishing in knee-deep water, methodically working slow-sinking twitchbait over mud shell and grass.

Fall fishing is in full swing! If you want to go out and have a trip of a lifetime I recommend booking ASAP. With the last couple of cool snaps it has congregated redfish trout black drum and more all in one area gorging on shrimp shad and mullet. It's almost unfair LOL When the guide is dropping off clients after cleaning fish and going back out for seconds you know the fishing is phenomenal. Families, corporate trips, young or old this is the best time of year to get out on the water!

The last few weeks on the water have been absolutely incredible. If I had to take a guess on how many red fish we caught in the last weeks I would say 250 to 300. Most of the fish we've caught have been in 3 foot or less of water on a popping cork and shrimp. A lot of the recent trips I've ran have had non-stop action from the first cast to the last one. With the late Summer patterns the fish are schooling on deep structure in 8 to 12 ft of water! Our main tactics have been using a popping cork with 3 foot of 40lb leader, split shot and a #4 treble hook with a live shrimp hooked in the tail. We've had multiple outings where our shrimp has been attacked within the first 10 seconds of hitting the water! The fast and furious action will continue on this deep structure for the entire month of September and in to the first week of October. In the previous years, once we get the first cool snap of the year the fish will migrate from this deep structure to mouth's of bayou's, drains and rivers to ambush shrimp, shad, mullet and glass minnows being flushed from the shallows. Just because the kids are back to school doesn't mean you can't come out at and have fishing trip of a lifetime. Get your trip booked and let's go make some memories! Tight lines

With what little rain we've had, our whole entire bay system is beautiful! Emerald green water to the top and reaches of our Bay has allowed us to fish the gas Wells! When we have calm winds we're getting easy limits of speckled trout but when the wind's blowing we have targeted redfish along protected shorelines and have produced some solid catches! This pattern should hold throughout the rest of Summer so give us a call and let's go make some memories!

Hot temps equals hot fishing With the summer fishing pattern in full swing we are consistently catching speckled trout redfish drum sheepshead and sharks using various different methods. As long as you have moving water over semi deep structure your chances for success are very high! This deep structure can consist of fishing the jetties, oyster reefs in 6 to 8 ft of water or Wade fishing right at the edge of a gut. With the tide moving this water is just a few degrees cooler and the fish are prone to feed better than in stagnant non-moving areas. These patterns will hold until the end of summer!

December fishing has been absolutely outstanding. We have been filing the ice chest full of speckled trout redfish and the occasional flounder. Wintertime patterns have set in and fishing is going be awesome for the next 2 months straight. I have keyed in on big schools of fish sitting in 6 to 8 ft of water over heavy mud and shell. We have been throwing artificials bouncing them off the bottom and drifting with live shrimp under a popping cork. This being said we are going to continue 2 catch speckled trout and redfish like this so come get some. This is definitely Worth getting out in the cold conditions to enjoy some hot action on the water. Until next time tight lines
