- Background
- Hi, I’m Capt. Luis “Lou” Lagrange — a South Florida native and lifelong bass angler. I started fishing at 10 years old and never looked back. For the past 25+ years I’ve focused on what I love most: chasing Florida largemouth and Miami peacock bass in the Everglades and local canals. I’m big on keeping trips fun and productive — whether you’re a first-timer, bringing the family, or you’ve been fishing your whole life. Every day on the water is different, and I take pride in figuring out the bite, teaching simple techniques, and putting you on fish. Let’s go make some memories and catch some bass!
- Techniques
- My preferred approach is high-odds, hands-on bass fishing. We’ll focus on proven areas and adjust to the day’s conditions—water clarity, temperature, wind, and fish mood. For Miami peacock bass, live shiners are a top option for steady action, and I’ll also mix in artificial lures like jigs, soft plastics, and topwater's when the bite calls for it. In the Everglades, we’ll target largemouth with topwater, worms, and moving baits, and I’ll coach you every step of the way.
