- Captain Charles Giarrizzo is a life-long fisherman. He began fishing in Long Island Sound years before acquiring his USCG Merchant Marine Credential and began chartering Shark and Tuna trips aboard the "The Hustler", a 32' Black Fin Sport Fisherman, out of Montauk, N.Y. He was plying his trade along side such notable shark hunters as the late Captain Frank Mundus and retired tournament champion Captain Joe Monday. Captain Mundus still holds the world record for the largest shark ever caught on rod and reel, a 3,427 pound Great White shark, caught 28 miles off Montauk N.Y. Captain Chuck founded Clearwater Beach Charter Fishing in Clearwater Beach, Florida in 1999. He continues to be the consummate shark hunter here in the Gulf waters providing the ultimate thrill for his anglers. While still encountering tackle busting sharks, he will also pull more than his share of Cobia, Grouper, Mackerel, and most other species that are biting in season.
