The winds were calm so Nick suggested we go offshore. We got to an area he had marked on his GPS. We were on fish immediately. Caught a wide variety of fish. A 4 to 5 foot shark followed up a smaller fish I had caught. Great to see. Sharks bit us off a few times so Nick set up a pole for sharks. Within 3 minutes we were hooked up. After about a 25 minute fight we got the fish to the boat. This was a 6 footer. Had a great time, came back to shore with tired arms from reeling up all the fish. Will definitely fish with Nick again. Just a great friendly guy.

Great boat, great gear, great captain. Captain Nick is awesome. Very personable and welcoming. We had a cold front move in, and Captain Nick called me the day before to warn us and let us know he’d get creative. He turned a day that would normally be a slow bite into an epic day. Caught multiple species (snook, snapper, Jack, catfish). Nick is a wealth of knowledge with a wide range of expertise in targeting just about all species. Which was extremely helpful to a fishing novice with us. As someone who’s been on dozens of fishing charters, Captain Nick is one of the best.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable fishing experience in Englewood, Florida, I can’t recommend Captain Nick enough! We had an amazing time fishing both in the Gulf of Mexico and the inland waters, and Captain Nick made the whole trip special.

From the moment we met, it was clear that Captain Nick was not only an expert fisherman but also fantastic with kids. My young ones were totally engaged throughout the day. He was patient, teaching them the basics while making sure they had a blast reeling in their catches. The way he kept things fun yet educational was awesome. And from my 11 year old he said “I feel like he’s my best fishing friend now.”

Whether we were out on the Gulf, jigging for some larger catches, or on the calmer inland waters, he knew exactly where to go for the best action. His local knowledge was spot on, and he made sure we were comfortable with the gear. The equipment was top-notch.

Overall, the experience was fantastic. We walked away with plenty of fish, 9 species total, great memories, and a new appreciation for the sport. This is our third year of taking a fishing guide.  Each year with a different guide and I go with my son and son-in-law and we all agree that Nick has done the best job out of all the guides we took.  He explained things well and was very patient with us.  We caught dinner for tonight. We caught a 35-in schnook and about a 25-in schnook and had a great time. We liked Nick because he was very attentive to what we needed and was always there to bait us up and get us going.  He was very conscious of being organized about our time and fishing different spots for the fish we wanted to catch. It was a great day and we’ll be back again next year. Thanks, Nick. You deserved more than a 5 star rating.

Captain Nick gave fantastic instructions and had us on fish before he could even finish giving us a briefing of what to expect. Both of us caught our first cobia and it’s an experience we’ll never forget. I had one of the best days I’ve ever had on the water. Even if the fish weren’t biting, captain Nick provides an all around excellent experience full of boating, fishing, and local knowledge.
